The Wye Valley
The county is an ideal centre for touring; not only does it
have its own breathtaking scenery, but you will be within reasonable
distance of the Welsh Mountains, the Clee Hills of South Shropshire
and the Royal Forest of Dean.
Hereford has many historical features, including the Cathedral
with Chain library. Besides the attractions of Hereford City
and five market towns, the county is steeped in history and
heritage. From the military history of border castles and Offa's
Dyke, with stately homes such as Eastnor Castle, and to the
religious with the beautiful Norman church at Kilpeck are to
name but a few.
You can be as energetic as you wish with activities like walking,
cycling, climbing, horse riding, golf, and water sports such
as angling and canoeing available.
